We run a series of events each year; Cruising, Social and Training activities.  This page lists all upcoming events in date order.

Our monthly club meetings are normally held at 8pm on the first Tuesday of each month at, the Binfield Club, RG42 4HP.

Each Cruising trip has a "Deposit event" in the list below to sign onto initially so we can book charters. This will be followed by a "Balance payment event" published nearer the date of the trip.

    26-10 Sail Trim weekend (Deposit)


    Always wondered what the sail tweakers were doing? Want to know when and when not to use the vang? And when to use the outhaul? Or just looking to go faster and sail better. This weekend is all about practising sail trim. Skippered by George Hoskins, RBYC's tweaker-in-chief, this is a great weekend to improve your sailing technique.

    The cost of the charter per person is expected to be around £280 per person, based on a crew of four and a club skipper

    An initial non-refundable deposit of £100.00 is required to secure your place on this trip.

    A refundable security deposit of £3000.00 per yacht, payable at handover, will be required to cover any damage expenses.

    This is shared equally between all the crew, and will be returned to you after the event has successfully completed, less any costs incurred.

    Costs for any damage will be shared equally by ALL crew, no matter by whom, or how the said damage was incurred.

    The full price for the weekend is £300 so a balance of £200 will be requested when you register using the registration code you will be sent by email.

     Join us as we look back on   another spectacular year of   sailing with the RBYC!



    We've sailed the Solent, ventured north to Scotland, headed east to Poland and crossed the channel to Alderney - proving once again that RBYC members are always ready for a new adventure.

    Closer to home, we've tested our sailing skills, perfected our sail trim and practised that most essential of sailing techniques - parking the boat without anybody noticing how many attempts it took. 

    Come along and help us celebrate another brilliant year on the water with the RBYC. 

    Open to club members and visitors.  Free.

    26-10 Buoy Hunt (Deposit)

    The annual close of the year - the hotly contested annual buoy hunt. Something  between orienteering by boat, chess and a game show, sail to as many buoys as you can in the time set aside to score points - with prize giving over dinner and the opportunity to be the winning boat. Last year we had four boats out - lets see if we can make it five this year!
